I’ve been on a few river cruises and looking back at them while I enjoy the individual ports of call, one of the great highlights is the sailing itself. Last year I sailed again with Viking River Cruises, this time on their Rhine River Christmas Market itinerary. Starting in Amsterdam we sailed through the Netherlands and Germany, before ending our magnificent journey in Switzerland. It was unusually temperate weather for December, but that luck meant more time on the Sun Deck, enjoying the cruise experience itself. Seeing destinations from different points of view is important and from the water is my favorite way to experience views I’d never find otherwise. This week for my photo series I thought I’d share a few photos from this Rhine River cruise – favorite moments on a trip full of them.
