Photo Series: Touristy Places I Love To Visit

For whatever reason, touristy sites around the world have a bad reputation. Travel writers and bloggers like to advise people to avoid popular sites, to go “off the beaten path,” whatever that means. That’s silly. Touristy sites are popular for a reason, they’re usually awesome. Should you combine them along with something a little bit more low key and unexpected? Yes, but certainly don’t avoid them altogether. That’s why I made them the topic of this week’s fake #FriFotos post, a photo series sharing my favorite and admittedly touristy places around the world.

  1. I would have said Angkor Wat as well. Loved it. All of Paris as well. But, confession: Despite living in Barcelona for nearly 9 years, I have never been inside the Sagrada Familia. I do like having coffee somewhere with a view of it though.

  2. No matter how many time I’ve seen her sparkle I will never tired of the Eiffel Tower glimmering. Ever. It’s still super special. Wouldn’t be caught dead at the trocadero though lol
