Beauty of Cold Weather Destinations

Cold is my arbitrarily selected theme for this week’s fake FriFotos post, but it’s appropriate given how cold areas of the world have been this week. It’s been freezing here at home and while I’d prefer a sunny beach right now, I actually love exploring cold weather destinations. There’s a certain grace and beauty that can only be found when it’s chilly outside, and that’s especially true in these cold weather destinations I think everyone should explore. Just be sure to bundle up.

  1. Living in one of the tropical countries means no snow, no winter wonderland, no views of like these. But I want to travel just to try what winter really feels like. Hopefully soon. Thanks for the images! Eyeing on Mt Fuji, Iceland, New Zealand and my dream land Switzerland. :)

  2. I’m definitely a cold weather gal. As a kid, my parents always used to take us to places like Spain, or the Canaries for our holiday and while they’re not the hottest places on earth you can go, I was never really a fan of them. If it’s above about 16C, it’s too hot as far as I’m concerned. I always prefer to go to cooler places on holiday. I think I might have been a penguin in another life.

  3. I liked seeing the Szechenyi Baths in Budapest in the winter. I was unlucky in terms of going for a cruise to Antarctica that cancelled shortly before departing because the ship hit an iceberg back in November, I did get to see some beautiful cold places in Patagonia as part of my Plan B trip!

  4. Stupendous! The beauty of cold places has been beautifully captured under your lenses. I love visiting scenic places and all the places mentioned in your post sounds interesting. Hopefully, I will visit these places and capture the memory under my lenses.
