Wishing For Warm Weather Photo Series

It’s cold, very cold which is normal for winter, but it just seems so much worse this year for some reason. Around the United States and even the Northern Hemisphere, 2015 has had a frigid start. That’s why so many of us, myself included, find ourselves daydreaming of warm weather – places where we can wear shorts instead of parkas and flip-flops instead of snow boots. I went through my albums and found several warmer places I’d love to be relaxing right now – anything for some relief from this winter weather!

  1. Some great photos, Matt!

I can’t complain about the weather. While my friends and family on the East Coast have been suffering snowstorm after snowstorm, we’ve had several weeks of unseasonably warm weather here in Arizona. This week the temperatures have returned to normal, with lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s. As usual, I’ll be paying for the present good weather when it’s 115 in June.

Out of curiosity, where was your Croatia photo taken? I was in Split for a few days in 2006, and I remember a similar stretch of waterfront, lined with palm trees and cafes. It was during a heat wave, and impromptu backpacker colonies started to spring up under the shade of the palms. Myself, I preferred the shade of a cafe and the refreshment of a cold beer.

  2. I can really relate to this!! Man I miss warm weather so much. Blogged about Jamaica and Scottsdale recently just so I could mentally escape if not physically.

    1. LOL, I’m right there with you. I’m excited about my travel plans, but a little of me is sad that I won’t see a warm destination until May.
