Exploring Dublin On A Photo Walk

A few months ago I once again found myself in the Irish capital, and once again it was raining. My attempts to capture some great sunny images have been thwarted twice now, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy the experience. Walking around Dublin with a professional guide from Pat Liddy’s Walking Tours made all the difference and I found new parts of town that I would have missed otherwise. Here are some highlights of that marvelous walk through one of the most beautiful capital cities in the world – Dublin.

  1. The ‘Temple Bar’ picture is actually the corners where St Andrews Street, Exchequer Street, Wicklow Street and South William Street meet. Ladislav is right ….Temple Bar is the other side of Dame Street. Sorry Matt …you’ve taken some lovely pictures!

    Hey Matt,
You’ve got some really lovely photos of my home town there, especially considering the weather we get there so often. Here’s the funny thing though …a year ago I was back in Dublin, and the weather was gorgeous quite early in the year. We were in a taxi and the taxi driver said (realising I was a native, but my other half a foreigner) – “You’ve got to love us Dubliners, the sun comes out, and we head off to the pub to celebrate!”

At least lots of pubs have beer gardens now!
    Thanks
    Jackie

I’ve live in Dublin city for 55 years and I have to say I really admire your photos. But they are not taken in Temple Bar, rather they are of the south part of the city in general. Great shots, though.
