I’m happy to announce a new campaign with one of my favorite companies, Marriott Hotels and Resorts. This time the project is a little different though from previous ones. Starting next week I’ll be exploring some of the beautiful Marriott Resorts in the Caribbean in order to see what makes them tick and why they’re great places to spend a vacation. I’ve never been to any of these countries though and I need your help!
Now through November 6th, you can vote on what I’ll see and do as I explore four hotels in the Caribbean by visiting the Marriott Resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico Facebook page. Every day is a new set of activities, so make sure to check back and vote daily.
I’m not doing this alone though, in order to cover all of the beautiful destinations in the Marriott Resorts Caribbean and Mexico collection, fellow travel blogger and all-around great person Rachelle Lucas (The Travel Bite) will be visiting four different hotels. You can vote for her activities at the same time you vote for mine. Whichever adventure wins the daily vote is what we’ll do during our stay.
Where I’m going:
- St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach Resort
- Cayman Islands – Marriott Grand Cayman Beach Resort
- Curacao – Curacao Marriott Beach Resort & Emerald Casino
- Aruba – Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino
Where Rachelle is going:
- St. Kitts – St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino
- Puerto Vallarta – CasaMagna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa
- Cancun – CasaMagna Marriott Cancun Resort
- Cancun – JW Marriott Cancún Resort & Spa
Types of activities YOU get to decide for us:
- Sea lion swim
- Sunrise yoga
- Mangrove kayak tour
- Parasailing
- Visit to Mayan ruins
- And a lot more!
Why do this? As a long time patron of Marriott hotels around the world, I am a strong believer in the brand and how they deliver excellent service to their guests. Instead of just visiting a hotel and writing how nice it is though, I really want to bring to life the experience of visiting these remarkable islands; share with you all what I do whenever I visit a new destination. I want you to taste along with me the fresh fruit in St. Thomas and jump in next to me as I go for a swim with stingrays in Grand Cayman. And you know what, you may have your chance to do just that because in November Marriott is hosting a sweepstakes to give one of you your own chance to explore paradise. More on that soon.
But if you can’t wait and want to head down to one of the amazing Marriott resorts in the Caribbean or Mexico, it just got easier with a special promotion just for you all. To help kick off this fun, interactive exploration of the destinations and resorts, Marriott is offering up to 20-30% off your stay in paradise with the Flip Flops and Price Drops promotion. So go take a look and let me know which one you’d love to visit.
To Recap:
1. Visit the Marriott Resorts in the Caribbean and Mexico Facebook page every day to vote for my activities in paradise.
2. Join me on my trip by following the #PassportToParadise hashtag on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
3. Book your own trip to paradise through the Flip Flops and Price Drops promotion.
4. Stay tuned on how you can win a free stay of your own in paradise, courtesy of the Marriott Resorts of the Caribbean and Mexico.
Is there anything you want me to see and do while I visit any of these beautiful islands?
This trip is part of a sponsored campaign with the Marriott Resorts of the Caribbean and Mexico, but as always my thoughts are entirely my own and my passion for these destinations (assuming they’re great) will be my true and honest opinions.
First time in like 4 years I think I’m envious, no wait I know I am.
Enjoy those islands, good sir.
LOL, thanks I think. It should be a great trip, eager to check out these islands!
