Strolling in Paris

Bateaux-Mouches, Notre Dame, Paris, France

There are few areas of Paris as instantly recognizable as Île de la Cité and the fabulous Cathédrale Notre-Dame. Even though this part of town is without question among the most touristed, it remains one of my favorite. I love strolling along the Seine, glancing at the overpriced and usually pretty awful artwork for sale and soaking in the flavor of Paris. Although there is no shortage of great food in the City of Lights, from Notre Dame I like to make the short walk to the Marais and enjoy a simple meal at any one of the myriad bistros. The reward for this foray is not only a delicious meal, but arguably the best people watching in the world.

  1. Pretty photos. Strolling in Paris is even better than going up the Eiffel Tower. The architecture is so amazing, and for non-French speakers, overhearing the accent is great too.

  2. Beautiful photos! I studied abroad in France in college, and I really miss it. Somehow in all my travels I’ve never managed to get back there.
