Island of Lana’i – First Impressions

We had a very hard travel choice to make. At the conclusion of work obligations on the Island of Oahu in Hawaii, we wanted to take some time to see another part of the State and, more importantly, to relax.

When one solicits travel advice for Hawaii, the results are not usually helpful. Part of the problem is that the entire state (well almost) is gorgeous and there are plenty of activities for every type of personality. Ultimately, we heard a small cry through the cacophony of suggestions for condos on Maui and decided to stay instead on the teeny tiny Island of Lana’i.

I have a lot to say about this strange little speck of land in the Pacific and look forward to sharing these stories in the coming weeks. While I continue to wrap my head around my experiences here, please enjoy these shots all taken on the Pine Tree Island of Lana’i.
