Natural Beauty of Hawaii – A Travel Photo Series

I have been privileged enough to visit many stunning locations around the world; from the Bay Islands of Honduras to small spits of land in the Gulf of Thailand. But few locations compare to the raw, natural beauty of Hawaii.

I have spent the last week on the Island of Oahu in the tourist Mecca of Waikiki. Even though this area is a veritable Vegas Strip of the South Pacific, it has retained the stunning vistas for which Waikiki is best known. Soon I will journey to the smallest of the Hawaiian Islands, Lana’i, where I am sure I will be met with even more breathtaking views. In the meantime, here are some of the highlights of Waikiki.

  1. Hawaii is really breathtaking. We’ll be spending a month exploring Kauai in November and can’t wait. Keep the beautiful photos coming – they just make us that much more excited.

  2. Lovely pics, really. I always love to see the Duke and his leis.

Hey, this is just a semantic thing — it’s what I do — but I don’t know that I’d call Hawaii’s gorgeousness raw, at least not around Waikiki. It’s more ripe, you know? Waikiki to me is mangoes and papayas ripe enough to eat almost like pudding.

God, I miss Hawaii. I’m glad you’re there enjoying it.
