Years ago I had a travel rule that I tried to follow – never pay to climb. It just seemed wrong to me that popular tourist sites would make me pay them for the right to trek up hundreds of stairs. I have long since abandoned that rule though for one reason – I love the resulting photos. Some of my favorite captures have been from high above a new destination, so today I thought I’d share just some of the many bird’s eye view photos I’ve been fortunate enough to take over the years.
