Two years ago I had the trip of a lifetime. I drove from Chicago to Los Angeles following Route 66 in its entirety. One of the many perks of the drive was the ability to enjoy some spectacular natural wonders, even if I had to make brief detours at times. Joshua Tree National Park was one of those important detours. Located about 45 minutes off of Route 66, the extra time spent driving to and exploring the park was of course well worth it. Since this is National Park Week, I thought I’d share these photos from Joshua Tree and even though we can’t go there right now, hopefully in the not so distant future these – and all National Parks – will once again be places of refuge and recreation for all of us.
