Viking Expands Privileged Access to Downton Abbey’s Highclere Castle

Just in time for the release of the new full-length film, Downton Abbey, based on the Emmy Award-winning MASTERPIECE series, Viking has announced its partnership with Focus Features, Universal Pictures and Carnival Films. The movie made its global premiere today in London but will be coming to U.S. theatres September 20, 2019.


Mexican resorts get creative to deal with sargassum

For large swathes of the Mexican Caribbean, this has been the summer of sargassum, but while the rust-colored seaweed has plagued the region’s beaches on and off for several years, resorts and destinations have recently been finding ways to fight back.

This season’s build-up has been particularly severe, blighting beaches across the Riviera Maya and Cancun coastlines and forcing many resorts to implement new solutions to tackle the outbreak.


Spirit Airlines adds comfier seats, even in the middle

Spirit Airlines, which has been on a big customer service push to be known for more than cheap tickets, will add comfier seats this fall.

The airline on Monday introduced contoured seats it said have more “usable” legroom, a thicker seat cushion and, for travelers stuck in the middle, an extra inch of width.

Spirit’s seats don’t recline but come with a pre-recline, and that pre-recline will grow nearly an inch, more in the exit rows, the airline said.

A wave of new luxury hotels is sweeping across Japan’s capital city, as developers start to showcase their projects before legions of visitors descend on Tokyo for the 2020 Summer Olympics.

A Four Seasons hotel on the top six floors of a 39-story tower in the financial district and the first Japanese location of Marriott International Inc.’s luxury Edition brand are set to open by next summer.
