Brazil set to allow foreign airlines to fly domestic routes

A bill that would allow foreign airlines to fly domestically within Brazil is awaiting the signature of President Jair Bolsonaro.

The measure, passed by Brazil’s House and Senate last week, builds upon a temporary decree signed in late December by outgoing President Michael Temer that allows for 100% foreign ownership of airlines operating in the country. The previous limit was 20%.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) have announced the continued expansion of their loyalty alliance.

The duo is now celebrating a milestone of more 200 SLH hotels around the world allowing World of Hyatt members to earn and redeem points from for on-property benefits.

This latest expansion push quadrupled the number of participating SLH properties since the alliance first launched back in November 2018. Both companies noted this expansion is expected to continue throughout 2019.

Disneyland will welcome guests to a land from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens Friday, May 31.

The new themed land is set in Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu, previously unseen in the Star Wars universe. The decision to pick a new location was deliberate, executives said Wednesday at a media event previewing the land.
