United flaunts new branding, faces mixed reactions on social media

United Airlines’ new livery is finally ready to hit the skies − though not everyone on Twitter thought the airline stuck the landing.

United released a video late Tuesday night of its new branding ahead of a celebration in Chicago on Wednesday. The airline had been teasing the makeover on social media for the last week.

 

You can now sleep in a giant potato hotel in Idaho

If you’re planning a trip to Idaho this summer, there’s a new hotel opening that is spud-tacular.

The Potato Hotel can now be reserved on Airbnb, with available dates starting in June. The 28-foot-long, 12-foot-wide and 11.5-foot-tall spud is made of steel, plaster and concrete and offers accommodations for up to two guests per night, according to its owner.

 

Dutch fence off tulip fields to stop selfie-takers crushing flowers

Barriers and advertising banners are being erected around fields in the tulip bulb region of the Netherlands in an attempt to deter a growing number of tourists from flattening the flowers to take selfies.

Tourists have been seen jumping above the tulips to secure the perfect picture, or lying down in the middle of fields, squashing the plants.
