Disney’s Riviera Resort to feature foldout beds

Disney unveiled a model room for its Riviera Resort, which is scheduled to open at Disney World in December.

The European-themed property will be the 15th to join Disney’s Vacation Club timeshare program and the first new Disney Vacation Club property to be added to Disney World since 2004.

The model Riviera Resort accommodation on display at the Disney Vacation Club Preview Center at Disney Springs is a two-bedroom configuration created by connecting a one-bedroom villa and a deluxe studio.


American Airlines extends cancellation of 737 Max 8 flights

American Airlines has extended its grounding of the 24 Boeing 737 Max aircrafts in its fleet through April 24, the company said in a statement released Sunday.

Earlier this month, President Donald Trump announced an emergency order from the Federal Aviation Administration, which grounded Boeing 737 Max jets in the wake of an Ethiopian Airlines crash and a Lion Air accident in October that together killed 346 people.

Marriott opens largest Residence Inn in Calgary

Marriott International opened its 800th Residence Inn in downtown Calgary, Alberta, its largest to date.

The 33-story Residence Inn Calgary Downtown/Beltline District offers 390 studio and one-bedroom suites, each featuring a fully equipped kitchen and living and sleeping areas. Hotel amenities include a complimentary grocery delivery service, daily hot breakfast, 24-hour market, laundry room, 24-hour fitness facility and valet parking. Guests can find light meals, cocktails, wines and local beer selections in the hotel’s lounge and terrace areas. The property also expects to introduce a lobby wine bar this summer.
