Exodus Travels Launches Luxury Adventure Collection

Leading small-group tour operator Exodus Travels has launched a new Luxury Adventure Collection that will take travelers to the farthest reaches of the planet in high style.

Whether it’s soaking in a hot tub on a Galapagos Island Voyage or sipping on a glass of bubbly after a Big Five safari in East Africa, each trip in the collection combines the intrepid nature of adventure abroad with the extravagance of a five-star getaway.

 

Southwest Airlines launches Hawaii service from Oakland to Honolulu

Southwest Airlines’ Hawaii service debuted Sunday, finally giving the nation’s largest domestic carrier a footprint in the vacation hot spot.

Southwest Flight 6808, a 5 1/2-hour nonstop flight from Oakland, California, to Honolulu, landed at 2 p.m. local time. It was met by Hawaii Governor David Ige and Southwest Airlines President Tom Nealon.

 

Egypt tourism ‘fastest growing’ in North Africa

Improved security helped Egypt’s tourism sector become the fastest growing in North Africa last year.

The growth of 16.5% was linked to the improved security infrastructure, which has helped to attract international visitors back to Egypt’s shores.

This has allowed major travel companies to resume operations in popular destinations such as Sharm el-Sheikh.

The Smithsonian’s modern art museum is revamping its sculpture garden by the National Mall, the organization announced just ahead of tourist season in the nation’s capital.

The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden’s goal is to make the garden and plaza, first built int he 1980s, more accessible and inviting to the millions who visit the nation’s capital each year.
