Virgin Atlantic, Air France, KLM Launch Codeshare

Aviation titans Virgin Atlantic, Air France and KLM have launched their first-ever codeshare agreement.

The new agreement means new trans-Atlantic travel options from Europe to the Americas, including the Caribbean region.

It means travelers can “build their ideal trip” by combining flights operated by Air France, KLM, Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines, all on one booking reference.


Anantara to open luxury resort on Mauritius

Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas will open a new luxury property on the southeastern coast of Mauritius.

Scheduled to open in September, the Anantara Mauritius Resort will be located near Blue Bay Marine Park, one of the island’s premier snorkeling and diving destinations.


Princess Cruises to Expand High-Speed Internet to More Ships

Princess Cruises is rolling out its high-speed Wi-Fi, MedallionNet, to more ships in 2019. The internet, which the line touts as the best at sea, is reliably fast enough to stream movies or teleconference even in the middle of the ocean.

The rollout schedule is as follow: Coral Princess (April 5), Island Princess (May 15), Crown Princess (June 30), Emerald Princess (August 3) and Golden Princess (December 20).

The line’s next new ship, Sky Princess, will also be equipped with MedallionNet when it debuts in October 2019.


Southwest Airlines Put Flights to Hawaii on Sale

Travelers who want to visit Hawaii will now have an even cheaper alternative as Southwest Airlines has finally opened sales on flights.

According to the carrier’s official website, the service between Oakland, California, and Honolulu that launches March 17 is officially on sale for as low as $49 for one-way fares. Travelers should act quickly, as the lowest fares are expected to sell out.
