American and Delta Fined by FAA for Tarmac Delays
American Airlines and Delta Air Lines have received hefty fines from the Federal Aviation Administration.
The FAA said that it fined American $1 million and Delta $750,000 for violating federal rules that prohibit lengthy tarmac delays, according to a report in Reuters.
Boutique hotel and restaurant company Kimpton has announced the launch of its 2019 Off the Record music program, which begins in Austin, Texas, on March 16 during South by Southwest and includes six additional concerts throughout the year in Boston, Toronto, Nashville, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Kimpton Off the Record is an immersive live concert series bringing people together for intimate performances in Kimpton locations across the country.
Alaska Airlines redesigning cabin interiors
Alaska Airlines unveiled a restyled cabin for its Airbus fleet, as the carrier aligns the inflight experience across its legacy fleet of Boeing aircraft and Virgin America’s Airbus planes.
Alaska acquired Virgin America in 2016 and went on to phase out that brand.
“After extensive feedback from our guests and in collaboration with our partners, we’ve infused the Alaska Airlines cabin with key brand elements from Virgin America — the result is a premium experience at an affordable price,” Alaska president Ben Minicucci said Wednesday.
New details surrounding Disney’s highly anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge theme park emerged on Thursday, with the Orlando Sentinel’s Gabrielle Russon reporting that the 14-acre facility at Disneyland is about 80 percent complete.
The theme park is also coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios near Orlando, Florida.
Disney revealed the names of two attractions set to open at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge last year, including Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Now we know that the latter will be the longest in Disney’s collection.Add to Flipboard Magazine.
