JW Marriott, part of Marriott International, today announced the opening of JW Marriott Hotel Harbin River North.

Situated in the heart of the bustling Harbin Songbei district, the hotel marks an exciting milestone for the brand as the first JW Marriott property in Northeast China.

 

Hawaiian Airlines plane is diverted after a flight attendant dies

Three hours into a Hawaiian Airlines flight from Honolulu to New York this week, the captain came over the loudspeaker and asked if there were any doctors on board. A flight attendant was having a medical emergency.

Doctors and crew members performed CPR on Emile Griffith when he suddenly fell ill Thursday night, CNN affiliate KPIX reported. But Griffith, a 31-year veteran of the airline, did not survive.

The holy grail for most theme park operators is getting guests to stay in an on-site hotel. The longer they are in the area, the more time they tend to spend in the parks which boosts the sales of merchandise, food and beverage. They usually have the highest profit margins so on-site hotels have a magic touch. However, it takes more than the wave of a wand to get them off the ground.

When most people think of a hotel, a box-shaped building with a sign hanging outside usually comes to mind. Theme parks usually do things differently. To tempt guests and differentiate their hotels from others in the area, park operators develop properties which have outlandish themes. The more unusual they are, the greater the spell they cast on customers.

 

Carnival Cruise Line Announces New Details for Mardi Gras Ship

Carnival Cruise Line revealed Friday the first design details of the upcoming Mardi Gras ship set to debut in 2020.

When the Mardi Gras launches next year, it will become the first cruise ship in North America powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and boast 20 decks highlighted by six themed zones.
