American Couple Misses Cruise Ship, Gets Stuck in Cuba

Kevin Rohrer’s and his girlfriend’s vacation ended abruptly in Havana, Cuba after their cruise ship left without them on a recent four-night Norwegian Cruise Line sailing in the Caribbean.

According to, the American couple returned to the dock more than an hour ahead of what they thought was the Norwegian Sky’s 5 p.m. departure time only to find the ship was already gone.


Eiffel Tower to be closed as Paris braces for more protests

France was mobilizing tens of thousands of police officers and closing landmarks including the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre as authorities warned that anti-government protests on Saturday could be even more violent than the ones that have crippled the country for weeks.

“According to the information we have, some radicalized and rebellious people will try to get mobilized tomorrow,” Interior minister Christophe Castaner told a press conference on Friday. “Some ultra-violent people want to take part.”

Royal Air Maroc will become the newest member of the oneworld frequent-flyer alliance.

The carrier will become a full member of the group, with its entry into the alliance expected to come by “mid-2020,” the oneworld alliance announced Wednesday afternoon.
