As Tourism Grows, Airlines Continue to Add Flights in Quintana Roo

Cancun is Mexico’s hub for international tourism and it’s offering even better connections.

The Quintana Roo Tourism Board announced that its global air connectivity continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Both new direct international flights to Cancun International Airport as well as the expansion of existing routes to the region are pushing growth in the region.

The cruise line presented the looks of several restaurants during a high-octane evening in New York that began with a press conference, moved on to a multicourse dinner with a troupe of drag queens as the emcees, and culminated in a set by rocker Joan Jett.


Egypt Sees ‘Steep Rebound’ in Tourists as Industry Recovers

The number of tourists to Egypt soared 40 percent in the first nine months of 2018 from a year earlier, recovering from a slump that began with the Arab Spring and continued as unrest persisted, the tourism minister said.

“We expect that by the end of 2018 we will not be at the levels that we’ve seen in 2010, but we are approaching that,” Rania Al-Mashat told Bloomberg TV. “The rebound is quite steep and we’re trying to put the industry on a competitive base compared to our peers.”


AAA Projects More Than 54 Million Americans Will Travel This Thanksgiving

More than 54 million Americans are expected to travel this Thanksgiving, according to AAA’s latest projection.

North America’s largest motoring and leisure travel organization estimates that approximately 54.3 million people will venture at least 50 miles or more from home for the holiday weekend, a 4.8 percent increase over last year and the most since 2005.
