Tourists heading to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia are being warned to stay out of the water following shark attacks on consecutive days this week.
According to The Associated Press, the warning was issued for the popular Whitsunday Islands after a 46-year-old woman was attacked by a shark Wednesday and a 12-year-old girl was bitten Thursday while swimming.
Both victims were transported to Brisbane hospitals with leg wounds, and they are in critical but stable condition.
Disney Cruise Line to make New Orleans debut
Disney Cruise Line for the first time will embark on cruises from New Orleans.
The Disney Wonder will sail six cruises from the Louisiana city in February and March 2020, including four-, six- and seven-night Western Caribbean sailings; a seven-night Bahamas cruise; and a 14-night Panama Canal voyage.
The government is one step closer to coming up with regulation on minimum seat sizes for airline flights after the House passed the Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization Act.
The legislation would extend funding for the FAA for another five years but also includes provisions that would affect air travelers.
Chief among them: The bill orders the FAA to set standards for the size of airline seats, part of what’s known as the “Seat Egress in Air Travel (SEAT) Act.” The agency would have one year to come up with minimum requirements for seat width and for the space between seats.
