Azamara and Pearl Seas expand Cuba cruise options

Two cruise lines have expanded options for travelers interested in Cuba.

Azamara Club Cruises will have additional cruises to Cuba from Miami in 2018 and 2019 featuring expanded night activities.

The itineraries range from four to 14 nights and feature longer stays in port, new onboard Cuban-themed programming and two overnights in Havana.

 

Airbnb Surpasses Top Five Hotel Brands Combined

A company that began by offering nothing more than a sleeping mat on the floor in an attempt to make a few extra bucks now offers more listing that the world’s top five hotel brands, combined.

San Francisco-based Airbnb recently reached a milestone 4 million listings in 191 countries around the world, Business Insider reported.

That figure represents nearly one million more listings than the combined inventory of the top five hotel brands—Marriott International, Hilton Worldwide Holdings, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Wyndham Worldwide Corp and Hyatt Hotels Corporation—according to Hotel News Now.

 

Delta celebrates groundbreaking for new $4B terminal at LaGuardia

Delta broke ground this week on a much-anticipated makeover of its terminal facilities at New York LaGuardia.

The $4 billion project is expected to dramatically improve the experience of passengers at the airport, where creaky infrastructure has fallen behind the times.

 

Hotel G Yangon set to open its doors in September

Yangon is a city abundant not only with ancient temples and pagodas, but also a booming contemporary design, culinary and music scene.

The city will gain its first lifestyle hotel in September with the debut of Hotel G Yangon, an 85-room design hotel located at the heart of Yangon’s vibrant entertainment neighbourhood, with art galleries, shopping malls, the famous Bogyoke Aung San (Scott’s) market and Yangon’s central railway station right on its doorstep.

This next generation hotel is managed by GCP Hospitality, who operates Hotels G with a network of properties in Singapore, Bangkok, Pattaya, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, with scheduled openings in Beijing, Perth and Seoul.
