Playa Partners with Panama Jack to Launch New All-Inclusive Resort Brand

Playa Hotels & Resorts has announced a partnership with consumer brand Panama Jack resulting in the launch of a new all-inclusive resort brand.

The luxury all-inclusive resort collection first revealed the news at its inaugural Spotlight Awards event in Jamaica Saturday. The next step is for a pair of existing all-inclusive resorts in Mexico—Cancun’s Gran Caribe Resort and Playa del Carmen’s Gran Porto Resort—to undergo multimillion-dollar rebranding efforts.

 

Qantas Tops List Of Safest Airlines Yet Again

AirlineRatings.com, the world’s only safety and product rating website, has again announced its top 20 safest airlines for 2017 and, for the fourth consecutive year, Qantas tops the list from the 425 airlines it monitors.

In fact, Qantas has a fatality-free safety record in the jet era.

Making up the top 20 in alphabetical order are: Air New Zealand, Alaska Airlines, All Nippon Airways, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Delta Air Lines, Etihad Airways, EVA Air, Finnair, Hawaiian Airlines, Japan Airlines, KLM, Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airline System, Singapore Airlines, Swiss, United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia.

 

Europe’s first underwater museum opens in Lanzarote

Museo Atlántico, an underwater museum featuring more than 300 sculptural works by British artist Jason deCaires Taylor, opened to the public yesterday.

The installations can be found 14 metres beneath the surface of the Atlantic Ocean in Bahía de Las Coloradas (Coloradas Bay), on the south coast of Lanzarote. The site spans an area of 2,500 square-metres, and can be explored by scuba divers or from glass-bottomed boats.

 

JetBlue just made WiFi free on all domestic flights

The free perks keep coming for airline passengers.

JetBlue announced all domestic flights will have free WiFi.

The New York City-based airline starting offering free gate-to-gate internet at the end of 2013 on one aircraft, and has now expanded the service to its entire U.S. continental fleet — 227 planes.
