Holy Places Around The World – Photo Essay

Through some compulsion I can’t explain, I find myself drawn to places of spiritual importance when I travel. It’s not that I’m particularly spiritual, I’m not; instead I think it’s a desire to get to know people on a deeper level. Whatever the reason, these places of holy importance are a big part of my travel experience which is why I’m glad the theme for #FriFotos this week is HOLY PLACES. Here are some of my most favorite holy places I’ve visited on my travels.

Dome of the Rock

Stonehenge

Beguinage in Bruges, Belgium

Boy playing at the Golden Mount, Bangkok

Western Wall - Kotel Jerusalem travel activities

Iceland

Uluru, Northern Territory Australia

Asakusa temple incense burner, Tokyo

The 9th Station of the Cross in the Via Dolorosa

Chichen Itza Descent of the Feathered Serpent
