One of the world’s top refuges, a visit to Kruger National Park in South Africa is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Covering more than 7,400 square miles this massive park was also South Africa’s first national park when it came under government protection in 1926. Even though nearly 1 million people visit the park every year, managers have been able to maintain the park as the natural refuge it was meant to be. Whether you visit on a day trip or part of an overnight stay at a lodge or camp, the wildlife experiences you will enjoy are almost guaranteed to be amazing. Even though I had just a short two days in the park, I was able to see many different animals, including these beautiful creatures I found while on safari.
