Five Quirky Things I Found in Japan

Before my first visit to Japan I expected a lot of strange, quirky sights. I was overall pretty surprised to find not a wacky country, but one that is profoundly interesting and fun to explore. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its fair share of odd experiences, including these five I found while exploring the areas in and around Tokyo.

This unfortunately named beverage was found in several vending machines.

 

Several ice cream shops didn’t have tubs of ice cream, instead they had packets that were inserted into machines and you chose a flavor from walls of cones.

 

Because who doesn’t want to dress their dog like a ladybug. Or a chick.
