A Bedford couple says Southwest Airlines endangered their terminally ill son when they forced him from his protective seat on their flight from Florida.

Eight-year-old Nicholas Dainiak has batten disease, a rare degenerative disorder.

Follow Jesus’ footsteps on Israel’s new Gospel Trail

A new trail across northern Israel offers travelers the chance to walk – or trot – through New Testament sites in the footsteps of Jesus.

The newly opened Gospel Trail winds for 39 miles, heading south from Nazareth, across gentle green hills, through Jewish and Arab towns and down to Capernaum, the fishing town where Jesus is said to have established his home base. The Tourism Ministry believes the new trail may attract up to 200,000 Christian pilgrims to northern Israel over the coming year.

Tube strike causes travel misery

A walkout by Tube drivers is causing Boxing Day travel misery in the capital as strike action cripples London Underground (LU).
Underground drivers belonging to the union Aslef are staging a 24-hour strike over the union’s demand for extra pay for its members working on the public holiday.

Last week a High Court judge concluded that the strike was lawful and could go ahead following a legal challenge by LU.

N.Korea Irked by S.Korean Travel Ban

North Korea is annoyed that Seoul has banned South Koreans from travelling to North Korea to pay their respects to dead leader Kim Jong-il. The North’s Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland on Sunday said, “The South Korean government should bear in mind that its obstructive maneuvers to discourage its citizens from visiting North Korea to offer condolences will have unimaginably destructive consequences for inter-Korean relations.”
