I love Mexico’s Riviera Maya. It’s the perfect spot for so many different types of travelers that it’s hard to go wrong. Having read so much about the area, I was surprised when I read Carol’s completely different point of view on the experience. The amazing photos don’t hurt either.

Ok, I have a new travel blog I really enjoy. I’ve only just begun exploring The Lazy Travelers, but I love it. I can completely relate with their travel experiences and think that this post in particular highlights a really important travel rule. That no matter how much we plan, it’s those unplanned moments which are the most special.

I don’t have a lot of time to read other travel blogs, but I never miss new posts on Jodi’s excellent site. A post this week continues that trend of original and truly engaging content and raises some important travel questions. Go, read, enjoy.
What does Off the Beaten Path Really Mean?
I’m a weird guy, I acknowledge that. One of the many ways in which this is expressed is that when I love a travel destination, I’m worried that people I know traveling there might not like it. I know, it’s strange, but what can you do? So when I heard that several travel bloggers I know and respect were spending ten days exploring the great country of Israel, I got very nervous. I need not have worried though, initial reports are all positive and more importantly, they “got” it, as this post clearly shows.
