LandLopers Picks of the Week

Irish Fireside

I have always enjoyed Corey’s site as a great resource for all things Irish. As 2010 came to a close, he assembled a terrific list of the top 75 of his favorite articles from around the web. It’s an amazing list and there are a lot of great stories included – and I’m not saying that because LandLopers is mentioned. So curl up next to a roaring fire and read through some of these terrific Irish stories.

Beers & Beans

I love reading Beth & Randy’s blog for its design, writing and great sense of humor. I was especially drawn to this post, since I’m all about saving money. I really like the article because while the title may seem to be snaky, it’s not and they give some great travel advice for your next trip to Iceland.

5 Things to Do in Reykjavik for Under $5

Chris Around the World

We all had a wonderful weekend and became fast friends, which is why I was sorry that her trip ended on a decidedly sour note. Read all about what made it so bad but be forewarned, it’s not for those with a weak stomach.

2010 Travels: Worst Experience

Bacon is Magic

Everyone has done a Best of 2010 post lately. Heck, I did an entire week of them! But I love Ayngelina’s unique take on her travel year reminiscence. She gives us her highlights not by writing about monuments or tourist sites, but food. Food is one of the most important aspects of travel and I love this post.
