The end of 2010 is almost upon us and with it comes the requisite reflections on the past year. For me, I think back on my travel adventures and the unique moments I was fortunate enough to experience.
This week I will be doing something different. Everyday I will highlight one of my favorite photos from the past year as well as a favorite travel experience. I will give the first annual Lopers Awards to my favorite food, person, travel experience, travel moment and ultimately my favorite destination.

I was only able to travel out of the country once this year (but 2011 is a whole different story)–but Riviera Maya was a fantastic getaway! We stayed at the Grand Palladium…and saw some amazing weather (check out my photo in the Landlopers photo contest: http://tiny.cc/l1sdq
